Welcome to this Webpage on US tax information for the staff members of UN and other International Organizations stationed outside the US. My name is Richard Hilliard and I have set up this website to provide basic information about filing taxes abroad for US taxpayers (this includes US Citizens and Resident Aliens – Green Card Holders. Resident Aliens, in general, have the same rights and responsibilities as US Citizens in regards to declaring and filing of US taxes).

We at USTAXCLAIMS.COM are primarily responsible for processing tax claims for several UN and other International Organizations. We are not tax advisors, tax assistants or tax preparers. This website is basically an introduction to those who are unfamiliar with filing taxes abroad. We cannot provide any information beyond what is presented in these pages.

Beyond the obligation to file US taxes, US Taxpayers, regardless of whether they live abroad or not, are required to report their amount in a non-US bank when the aggregate amount of all the foreign accounts exceeds $10,000.  This is FBAR (Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts). FATCA​ (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) is another regulation which has a different ceiling and involves reporting of investments abroad. Information on both can be provided in the link associated with the name or elsewhere in the internet.
